The Daily Globe is gaining readership on the Daily Bugle, so J. Jonah Jameson decides it's time to reverse the Bugle's fortune! And since JJJ cannot find any breaking news in the Big Apple, he's going to make some instead! And what better way than to finance the creation of a new adversary for the Amazing Spider-Man! Thanks to Jonah's large donation and Dr. Harlan Stillwell's deranged genius, the Fearsome Fly is born! And just as the Scorpion turned on Jonah years ago, so does the Fly in very short order! The new super-villain abducts Jonah and takes him to the top of the New York Coliseum! And then challenges the web-slinger to join them! Thanks to Mary Howitt's classic poem everyone knows what the spider says to the fly! But what will the fly say to the spider (man)?
